The Mortgage Guild was established in 1978 to service the needs of the builder community in a changing financial market. Due to the prices at the time, California was somewhat unique because the products offered by savings and loans, banks, and mortgage bankers were not able to meet the needs of the new construction homebuyer. Due to its wide array of products that suited new construction, The Mortgage Guild was able to forge strong alliances with builders, both large and small. For many builders, the assistance of the experienced staff at The Mortgage Guild was essential for success throughout Southern California.

Shortly after its inception, The Mortgage Guild became a full service mortgage brokerage, one of the first established in California. Expanding its reach to include residential re-sale and refinance business, The Mortgage Guild was able to rapidly become one of the largest mortgage brokers in the country. Today, we continue to expand our horizons, as we have recently formed one of the top Commercial Divisions in the western United States.
